I'd say it's referencing the size of the file based off just this little bit of information. However, with already like 10 known exploit tools for the game, it's fairly obvious they have next to nothing in place to curb problems such as this. I've currently heard about or seen: 1) Run hacks Couple those with the NPC sync issue going on and the exploits revolving around that, this game will fail miserably simply because the economy will be non-existent. Not to mention the fact the game is still running on the beta server and people are paying for the game to be in "open beta". One kid in a basement could be having a better release than Darkfall is currently having. Unless they completely refund all the paying customers, wipe the server, and fix all the issues they have this game is going down in flames quick. |

Storing all character info like level, cash, health, etc in a plaintext file (a la Diablo 1 where a simple modification program gave you all the best gear, max level, infinite HP etc to go annoy people online)? From what I understand there is one in the works. I can't wait long enough for it either. |

Seriously, we are being to hard on this game, we have to give the 3 year old that made it some credit.
*Buzzer* Wrong! There is a hack that lets you get in for free.... (Well that's what I heard)
Maybe if we wait till' they grow a brain and design this game properly...

Your onConnect() probably should look a bit more like onConnect() Delmar Wynn"Anyone who thinks the sky is the limit, has limited imagination." - Anonymous Let's play some football: http://goallineblitz.com/game/signup.pl?ref=14792821 |

I was bored, so I went into my darkfall folder, saw the updater.ini... looked at it.... and found this link:
http://www.eu1.darkfallonline.com/lobbyupdates.txt
Found out that the updater just checks that text file to see if you have the newest version. That is a terrible idea... I think the updater should connect to a complex sql database with encrypted text to tell the updater what version is newest... Right now, its just a text file...
Anyone else see exploits in this? :-\
